This page explains what Kindlesuite collects, why, and who we share it with — written in plain English, kept as short as it honestly can be.
Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how Kindlesuite (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use Kindlesuite (the “Service”), available at kindlesuite.app.
We aim to collect only what is necessary to operate the Service and deliver content to your Kindle device. If you have any question, write to hello@kindlesuite.app.
Information we collect
When you create an account or use the Service, we may collect:
- Account information — your name, email address, and Google profile data returned by Google Sign-In.
- Kindle delivery email — the
@kindle.comaddress you configure so we can email generated documents to your device. - Reading preferences — the source types you tell us you intend to use during onboarding.
- Conversion history — for each conversion, we store the source URL or file name, mode (article, video, thread, document, text), and the timestamp. We do not retain the full generated PDF after delivery.
- Payment metadata — for purchases, we receive a transaction ID, the email used at checkout, and the amount from our payment processor. We do not store card numbers or banking details — those are handled directly by the processor.
- Technical data — IP-derived country (used to route you to the appropriate payment processor), browser type, and anonymized usage events.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
- Deliver converted documents to your Kindle device by email.
- Send transactional emails (welcome, low-credit, purchase confirmation).
- Process payments and prevent fraud.
- Detect, debug, and resolve technical issues.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content or conversion data to train any machine-learning model.
Content you submit
Kindlesuite processes URLs, social posts, PDFs, and text that you paste or upload. Source content is fetched or read transiently to generate a Kindle-optimized PDF, which is then emailed to your configured Kindle address. We retain a short metadata record of each conversion (URL or file name, timestamp, mode) for your history; we do not retain the generated PDF after delivery.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to fetch, extract, or upload the content you submit. See the Terms of Service for the acceptable-use rules.
Sub-processors and third-party services
To run the Service we rely on the following sub-processors. Each is a third party with its own privacy policy. The list reflects services actually in use today; we update it when we add or remove processors.
| Service | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Sign-in (OAuth). We receive name, email, and profile photo. | |
| MongoDB Atlas | Database hosting for account, preferences, and conversion history. |
| Vercel | Application hosting, IP-based country detection, and product analytics (anonymized). |
| Resend, Brevo, Gmail SMTP | Transactional and Kindle-delivery email. |
| Dodo Payments | Payment processing for all customers. |
| Supadata | Server-side fetching of YouTube transcripts when you submit a YouTube URL. |
| SocialData | Server-side fetching of public X / Twitter posts and threads you submit. |
Retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. Conversion-history metadata is retained while the account is active so you can see what you have sent to your Kindle. Payment-transaction records are retained as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. Generated PDFs are not stored after they have been emailed to your Kindle device. On account deletion we remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@kindlesuite.app from the email address associated with your account.
Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Our infrastructure providers may process information in regions outside your country of residence, including the United States and the European Union. By using the Service you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those regions.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
